About the Church: In 1573  the Church was First built using Bamboo and Nipa. In 1576 the Church was Destroyed by fire. In 1578 the Church was Reconstructed by Father Juan de Plasencia. In 1606 the Church was burned and in the same year the Church was rebuilt in stone. In 1616 the Church was burned again. In the years 1616-1649 the Church was rebuilt. In 1660 Church was partially burned. In 1707 the Church was repaired. In 1711 the Church was burned. In 1711-1734 the present Church was constructed by Father Jose de Puertollano. In 1839,1842 & 1848 the Church was repaired. In 1892 the Roof was replaced with Galvanized Iron.
