About the Church: In 1578 the first Church was built by Father Juan de Plasencia and was destroyed by Fire. In 1600 the Present Building started by Father Pedro Bautista. On July 18,1880 the Facade of the Church was destroyed by an earthquake. In 1889 the Church was restored by Father Manuel Rodriguez.

About the Church: In 1646 the Church was built. In 1717 the Church was rebuilt by Father Francisco dela Fuente. In 1840 – Father Luis de Nambroca repaired the church and renovated the convent. July 18,1880 – The roof and part of the walls were destroyed during the earthquake. In 1884 – Church rebuilt by father Pedro Gallano. On August 20,1937 the Church was damaged by an earthquake. In 1980 – Church renovated. In 1981 – the Church was declared a National Historical Site.
