San Agustin Parish Church "Lubao Church" (Lubao, Pampanga)

About the Church: The Church was built in 1572 in Barrio Santa Catalina. It moved the present site 30 years later due to yearly floods. The Church was constructed in 1614-1630 by Father Antonio Herrera. Brick and sand mixed with Egg Albumen was used for the construction. In 1898 the Church was occupied by Revolutionists. In 1899 it was used as a Hospital by American forces. The Church was destroyed in 1942 by Japanese shelling. In 1949-1952 the Church was repaired under Father Melencio Garcia and other priests.
