About the Church:

The church “our lady of pillar” was first established in 1815. it is built in the farthest corner of “hacienda de calauan” owned by miguel lopez de legazpi, founder of manila. legazpi bequeath the hacienda to his grandson, Juan salcedo after his death. the image of the virgin mary kept in this church is said to be miraculous and devotees, with their prayers and petitions, flock here during the festival, honoring the “lady of pillar”, held annually every october 12. the church has been recently restored and the exterior design has been well preserved.

Saint Clements Parish Church (Angono, Rizal)

Construction of the church began in 1877. Construction was a continuing process until the belfry was done sometime in 1930. General repair on the Church was done in 1955. The Glorietta was made in 1952.

Jesus dela Pena Chapel (Marikina City)

The Jesus dela Pena Chapel in Marikina was built by the Jesuits on April 16,1630 with the permission of Father Pedro de Arce, the Archbishop of Manila that time. The Jesus dela Pena Chapel is the very first church in Marikina City (which was called Jesus dela Pena) and the first mass was held there.

The Jesus dela Pena Chapel is located in P. Zamora Street. This street is just before the Bridge going to the Poblacion. Along A Bonifacio.

Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar/ Katedral ng Nuestra Señora del Pilar/ Imus Cathedral/ Cathedral of Imus (Imus, Cavite)

About the Cathedral: The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar or more properly knows as the Imus Cathedral was founded in 1795 as a Parochial Church by the Augustinian Recollect priests under the patronage of Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Our Lady of the Pillar) and St. John the Baptist, and by the administration of Fr. Francisco de Santiago, OAR, as its first Parish Priest.

In 1823, the church was moved from Toclong to Balangon (present-day Imus Town Proper), where it currently stands. The present Baroque church is made of stone and bricks and was built under Fr. Nicolas Becerra, OAR, who served from 1821 to 1840. The church was administered by the Secular priests in 1897. On November 25, 1961, the birth of the Diocese of Imus, the church was declared a Cathedral and the Seat of the Diocese of Imus. It became the Mother Church of the Province of Cavite, with Nuestra Señora del Pilar as the Titular Patroness Saint of the Diocese of Imus, and of the whole Province of Cavite. Where is the Cathedral Located: The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar or Imus Cathedral is located in Imus Town Proper. Beside it is Imus Plaza and in front is the Municpal Hall and Imus Park.

Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Church (Gen Trias, Cavite)

First built in 1611 by Franciscan Missionaries. Rebuilt in stone in 1769, repaired and enlarged in 1834 and in 1893. Partially damaged during the earthquake of July 18,1880. The Facade was rebuilt in 1881, beatified in 1885.

The Church is where the Banda Matanda practiced the Marcha Filipina before it was played for the Declaration of Philippine Independe by General Aguinaldo in Kawit.

Holy Cross Parish Church (Tanza, Cavite)

The Tanza Church’s importance in Philippine History cannot be denied. For it is here where General Emilio Aguinaldo and General Mariano Trias took their oaths as President and Vice President of the Philippine Revolutionary Government on March 23,1897.
