About Pinoy Churches

To a Catholic, the most important structure in their life is either their Home or the Church. The Church like the home is a mute witness to many events in a Catholic’s Life. It is inside the walls of the Church where we are formally welcomed to the World. It is also inside the church wherein an important chapter in our life is started, the sacrament of Marriage. And it is also inside the church wherein we bid our last farewell to the world.

In the Philippines, there are thousands of Churches and Behind every church is a story, a History. Every Church has its own Architecture. A Church also boasts of Art Works of immense Value and each Church is our link to Antiquity. Everyday something important happens inside the Church, be it a sermon, communion, wedding, baptism, or even just the giving each other the sign of peace. And some churches even played a part in molding the country’s history. They are mute witnesses to our Country’s History. Though there are churches which were unfortunate enough to have been destroyed or burned, their importance still remains and will never be forgotten.

I created this blog firstly as a repository of pictures of Churches in the Philippines that I have visited. And it’s role has evolved, it is now a guide to Churches not just in the Philippines, but also a guide to other churches in other Countries. In visiting the Churches, i was able to take almost every form of transportation there is, from Sedans, Vans, Pedicabs, Tricycles, Jeepneys, Mini Buses, Big Buses (Aircon and Non Aircon), Multi Cabs. I have yet to take a Horse or Carabao to get to a Church. And thru these Church visits I have grown to appreciate how beautiful the Philippines is.

I hope you will enjoy getting to know the Churches thru this Website as much as I have enjoyed visiting them personally.

  1. Hi!

I am very much impressed with your work. Many of us Catholics do not appreciate anymore our churches. They are not just an integral part of our faith, but it is also part of Philippine culture and heritage.

I have clicked your index tabs in your menu above, listing the different churches you have visited in Luzon and Visayas. I hope you can also include the link to your post featuring each church so your readers will be directed to your writeup once they click the corresponding link 😉

Thank you for sharing information and photos of these churches. Keep posting!

    • Thank you for visiting. Yes will be doing as what you have suggested. Just have so many church posts yet to finish.

      Thanks again

  2. Looking forward to the links 😉 I am also inspired to take more photos of the churches I will be visiting from now on and hoping I could also feature them at my blog.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

    • The Churches of Rizal is the only Section wherein there are links to the Individual Churches. Hopefully within the year will be able to link all.

  3. I really like your blog! It’s fantastic! And yes, those churches would really make every Filipino proud.
