About the Church: In 1578 the First Church was built with Bamboo and Nipa. In September 12,1720 the Present Church was started by Father Vicente Ingles. In 1725 the Church was completed. The Church was heavily damaged during World War II and was restored after the War. In July 1977 the Church was restored by Architect Juan Nakpil and Engineer Arturo Manalac. Nuestra Senora de Candelaria Church @ Mabitac, Laguna

1611 – The present structure was built
July 18,1880 – Church was seriously damaged by an Earthquake
August 20,1937 – Church was again damaged by an Earthquake
